Use "Greenery" in your Small Business Branding

Have you heard that the Pantone color for 2017 is "Greenery"! Do you know what this means? It is the year to buy ALL THE PLANTS! (Don't worry, we have a fool proof plant guide coming to you very soon.) Expect to see pops of green all over in 2017, especially in fashion, weddings, fabrics, and why not branding for your small business??

So why is it important to pay attention to the annual color? Well, mainly because consumers will be inundated with reminders that this is the color that they need. It will be present in all aspects of design. When they go to Target they will see "Greenery" on the clothing rack, printed on stationery, and filled in little circles in makeup palettes.

Here are a few simple ways you can include "Greenery" to boost sales in your online shop. (You don't need to make a product that is "Greenery").

1. Incorporate "Greenery" into your Instagram feed. You don't have to use just this color. For example, you can take a plant that is "Greenery" or similar, add something that is "Treetop", and "Rose Quartz" (more ideas for palettes button below). Be sure to include your product/process, or simply share the photo as a lifestyle shot. Pin this photo to one of your Pinterest boards as well, and have it link to your online shop.

2. If you offer a product that has color options, feature the ones with the shades of green most often. Make these items the top row of your online shop. For example, if you make jewelry, put all of the green jewelry on your main shopping page. Even if it's a different shade of green, not "Greenery", the consumer will be reminded that green is 2017/2017 is green.

3. If you don't sell a "Greenery" colored product you may want to pick a day to host a photo shoot. Shoot some of your products and incorporate "Greenery" into lifestyle shots and product photography. Make it fun, invite a couple of friends over, and have them help you with styling and lifestyle shots.

*One thing, Incorporating "Greenery" into your branding can really help boost your marketing for 2017, just be sure that you aren't distracting from your brand, or causing your feed/online shop to appear less cohesive. Let us know if you want some feedback.

May your 2017 be blessed and "Greenery" :)
